Information
Overview
Cabula is a free macOS application that:
- helps writers and editors find repetitive words.
- provides a built in thesaurus to explore alternative phrasing.
Cabula is developed by one person, me: Albert Dayn. I develop Cabula in my spare time while working a day job at United Launch Alliance. Cabula is developed under Albeit Apps LLC, it is currently my only project.

- Provide no half baked features — All features should be as thoughtful as possible
- Be performant — Work with any (reasonable) amount of text without freezing, crashing, or being unresponsive.
- Be beautiful — Look good and be fun to use.
- Be intuitive — Display information and be interactive in the clearest way possible.
- Be respectful of privacy — Do not share or transmit users’ sensitive data and work.

- Performant — Tested up to a million words and 10,000+ occurrences of repeated word choice.
- Document Import — Import .pdf; .doc; .docx; .html; .txt; or just copy and paste into the editor.
- Multi-word phrases — 1, 2, or 3 word phrase counts work with root matching.
- Document View — See repetitions highlighted directly in your text to get better context. And click on any word to find repetitions.
